Schizophrenia Taiwan 2.0
Starting in late 2013, the exhibition Schizophrenia Taiwan 2.0 introduces works of young and emerging Taiwanese new media artists at Ars Electronica, transmediale, Cyberfest, HMKV, and Instant Video. From 2015, the exhibition plans to tour in U.S.A, Canada, Argentina, and Brazil. Taiwan’s schizophrenic nature will be diagnosed under the following lenses: a condensed symbol of world history, a powerhouse for global digital economy and an ambivalent national status. Part of the world and at the same time apart from it, like a satellite, Taiwan observes, orbits, and transmits messages to this world. These messages coincide the challenges and potential of globalization and cybernetics.
自2013年6月開始，以台灣新興藝術家為核心的「Schizophrenia Taiwan 2.0」展覽，在 Ars Electronica（奧地利林茲）、Cyberfest（俄羅斯聖彼得堡）、Transmediale（德國柏林）、HMKV（德國多特蒙德 ）以及 Instants Video（法國馬賽）巡迴展出。2015年，本展將擴大在美國、加拿大、阿根廷、巴西等地舉行。 本展聚焦於台灣的精神分裂體質，它如何被看待為一種濃縮的世界歷史象徵、一座全球數位經濟的發電廠，以及一種曖昧的國家狀態？台灣既是世界的一部份，同時又是局外人，就像衛星一般，繞著世界轉，觀察世界，又不斷地向它傳遞信息。這些信息疊合著我們面對全球化與賽博控制論的挑戰與可能性。
